A Social Justice Advocate Dzigbordi Akyea has described the performance of the economy under the watch of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as shameful.
Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia raised the expectations of Ghanaians with his unrelenting diagnoses of the economy under the watch of John Dramani Mahama with some persons calling him an “Economic Whiz kid.”
Ghanaians expected Dr. Bawumia to turnaround the economy but close 4 years down the lane, there are question marks over the direction the economy is taking with a ballooning debt burden.
The National debt and the efficient use of loans was the major talking point of Dr. Bawumia whiles in office, leaving questions about the candour of the Vice President and his abilities.
Dzigbordi Akyea said Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has nothing to show for all his talks.
She compared Dr. Bawumia to an overweight dietician who is trying to help manage the weight of her client.
Dzigbordi Akyea told Sena Nombo on the NDC Pro-Forum Hour, the Ghanaian economy has been in shambles since Dr. Bawumia took over.
She wondered whether Dr. Bawumia has been able to manage the cedi the manner in which he prophesied when he was in opposition.
The Social Justice advocate said Dr. Bawumia watched on as the Financial sector collapsed and deprived several young Ghanaians lost their jobs.
