General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has urged President Akufo-Addo to go on leave.
The NDC Scribe was responding to President Akufo-Addo’s claim he was unaware of impediments being placed in the way of some potential registrants in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
Speaking at the Kumasi Central Mosque last week, President Akufo-Addo stated “One thing that excites me most is that the registration exercise in Ashanti region and other areas has been very peaceful. I haven’t heard of any person being denied the opportunity to register on grounds that you are not this or what so go, we can’t register you every person has the right to go and register. What I have heard is that the exercise is going on smoothly in Asawase and Asokore-Mampong. We thank God for that. That is the most important thing to us all to leave in unity and peace.”

Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the President’s comments are influenced by mental exhaustion.
He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive, the President needs to take his leave.
The NDC General Secretary said the last time he heard the President took his leave was in 2017 hence was demonstrating signs of exhaustion.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the President’s mental exhaustion was showing in his actions.
