Service delivery is likely to improve at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration following the presentation of five Hyundai vehicles by the Korean Government to the Ministry.
The vehicles, which cost US$177,000, consist of one Hyundai Genesis and four Hyundai Sonata was presented by the Korean Ambassador to Ghana Sungsoo Kim to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
Madam Ayorkor Botchwey expressed Government’s profound gratitude to the Government and People of Korea for the gesture saying “donation is very timely and much welcome as it will, undoubtedly, go a long way to augment the Ministry’s fleet of vehicles and enhance our operations,” she said.
“I am confident that the gift will inject dynamism into our rapidly growing and mutually beneficial relationship and enable our two countries to forge closer ties at the bilateral and multilateral fronts,” Madam Ayorkor Botchwey said.

She also indicated that over the years, South Korea has supported Ghana in critical areas such as agriculture, healthcare and fisheries while taking keen interest in the country’s socioeconomic development.
For his part, the Korean Ambassador to Ghana said it was his hope that the vehicles would be helpful and thanked the Government of Ghana for its continued support for the Government of Korea, noting that the relationship between the two nations would continue to be deepened.
