National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has called on constituents of Dome Kwabenya constituency of the Greater Accra Region to vote overwhelmingly for both former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area Elikplim Akurugu.
Speaking to residents of Taifa, Johnson Asiedu Nketia questioned the underdevelopment in Dome Kwabenya especially despite the continuous support they have given to the governing Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Look at your market, the people of Taifa, for the 8 years of NPP government; they couldn’t construct a better market to show appreciation of your contributions. I have good news for you, simple vote for change. Vote for President Mahama to develop your area for you. You couldn’t come out to show you’re an NDC member here in Taifa. Because they will beat you, I lived here in those days, so i know what I’m talking about. Today, what I have seen here, I know change is coming, and I urge to vote massively for Mahama and Eliklim Akurungu as your Member of Parliament to bring that change,” he said.
The National Chairman was speaking at Taifa as part of her 3-day tour of some constituencies in the Greater Accra Region.
Johnson Aseidu Nketia on 2nd December 2024 visited Makola and Tudu markets in the Odododiodio constituency, Odawna garage in the Klottey Korley constituency and Circle in the Okaikoi South constituency.
He urged Ghanaians not be deterred in their quest for a change and vote for John Dramani Mahama to reset the nation for the good of every Ghanaian.
For her part, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Dome Kwabenya Eliklim Akurugu appealed to traders to vote for her, pledging not to leave the constituency and go stay outside the country. “I have my office here, received people all the time in the office. I give support to those I can, and I will continue to support the people who seek my help in my own small way. If you vote for me, I will be available to serve you; I won’t leave. Change is coming and I urge you to part of that change,” she stated.
