President John Dramani Mahama has urged the Ghana Armed Forces Council to be prepared to respond effectively to any security threat.
He emphasized that the nature of security threats is rapidly evolving, ranging from terrorism and cybercrime to political instability and climate-related security challenges.
To address these threats, President Mahama outlined key priorities for the Ghana Armed Forces:
- Capacity Building: Enhancing the skills and expertise of personnel to handle conventional and unconventional threats.
Modern Military Technology:
Investing in modern equipment to strengthen national defense capabilities.
Infrastructure Development:
Improving barracks, training facilities, and logistics support systems.
Welfare and Support:
Enhancing the well-being of military personnel and their families, recognizing that their well-being extends beyond the battlefield.
