President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Michael Harry Yamson as the new Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), and he’s expressed absolute confidence in Yamson’s ability to deliver.
This appointment comes after a unanimous recommendation by the Appointments Committee, which praised Yamson’s competence, knowledge, and skills.
Yamson brings a wealth of experience to the table, having served as a Board Member at Unichem Ghana Group and Managing Partner at Ishmael Yamson & Associates since 2021.
He’s also held leadership roles at Unilever, Celtel International, and MTI Ghana Limited, making him an expert in innovation, team leadership, and business development ¹.
President Mahama has tasked Yamson with enhancing efficiency and transparency in the management of the DACF, which is crucial for funding local governance and development projects across Ghana.
He’s also urged Yamson to ensure that funds are released on time and in full to fast-track development at the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies.
With Yamson at the helm, it’s likely that the DACF will see significant improvements in its operations and impact.
