Former Chief Executive of Youth Enterprise Support Helga Boadi says her administration started and paid for the 75-unit greenhouse enclave at Dawhenya before leaving office in early 2017.
The Nana Akufo-Addo led administration claims the project is an initiative of the Ministry for Business Development being implemented by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) to train youth in greenhouse farming.
The government has further claimed that they had to secure fresh funding for the project because the initial funding failed.

The YES Former Chief Executive Helga Boadi however told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive the Nana Akufo-Addo government’s claims are untrue.
According to her as at the time she left office, everything needed for the installation of the 75 units were in place.
She said the contractor had finished work on 24 out of the 75 units before he left office.

The former YES CEO said she the only thing her successor needed to do was supervise the installation of the remaining 51.
Helga Boadi said she visited the site with the CEO of NEIP John Kumah to update him on the progress of work before handing over.

She insisted that all 75 units made up 74 units and a nursery were paid for and installation ongoing before she left office.
Helga Boadi said she is hurt by attempts by the current government to claim credit for both the initiative and the project.
