The NDC Flagbearer further mentioned the relocation of Unilever’s tea production to Nigeria.
The former President John Dramani Mahama was speaking as the special guest of honour at the 8th Ghana CEOs Summit 2024 at the Kempinski hotel
The former President expressed worry with the Akufo-Addo government’s failure to address the challenges confronting businesses in Ghana.
“Amid all the economic challenges the nation is faced with, the public debt has now hit a staggering 658.6 billion Ghana cedis.”
“But we cannot despair over the poor quality of governance that has served us in the last seven and a half years” he added.
The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress used the opportunity to appeal to captains of industry and the investor community, to tarry a bit more, and not leave the country.
He assured that a new NDC administration will work with industry players to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
