Former deputy minister for Power John Jinapor has accused President Akufo-Addo’s cousin Gabby Otchere Darko of forging a load-shedding timetable he tweeted on 3rd August, 2020.
John Jinapor has therefore challenged the President’s cousin to either “produce the source of this spurious and dubious document or withdraw same with an apology.”
John JInapor threw the challenge in Facebook post in response to the tweet from Gabby Otchere Darko who displayed the purported load-shedding schedule dated 1st to 14th August 2016.

The purported timetable according to Gabby Otchere Darko was a “Load shedding schedule published by the Energy sector SOEs in 2016”
His tweet was accompanied with the words “@JDM was very efficient sometimes in telling us when we lucky enough to get the occasional lights. See below Dumsor load shedding schedule from 1st August to 14th August 2016. Yes Dumsor was on from 2011/12 to 2016.”

John Jinapor who was deputy Power minister in 2016, however said the timetable is fake.
John Jinapor stated there was no load shedding in 2016 because Dumsor was solved 12 months before power was handed to Nana Akufo-Addo’s government.
The Yapei Kusawgu MP accused Gabby Otchere Darko of lying and concocting documents to cover up the incompetence of his cousin.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state emphatically that the said document is fake! There was was no load shedding schedule published in the whole of 2016.”
“It is obvious that the nephew of President Akufo Addo is sensing a humiliating defeat come December 2020 arising from the abysmal record of their Government. This knee-jerk strategy of forging and concocting documents to divert attention from the sinking image of his Government will not wash. Such fabricated documents can only emanate from desperate and confused people.”
“If Gabby cares to know, the Mahama-led Government successfully and comprehensively resolved the protracted Power challenges 12 clear months before handing over power to President Akuffo-Addo whose record in office has been a complete and total failure,” John Jinapor added.
