Life Care Technology has donated state-of-the-art medical equipment and consumables to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) to strengthen specialist healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes across the country.
The donation, made as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, includes an Olympus Endoscopy Tower for gastroscopy and colonoscopy, fully loaded with accessories, 10 jaundice meters, as well as an assortment of anaesthesia accessories and consumables. The combined package is expected to significantly enhance diagnostic and treatment capacity in beneficiary health facilities.
Presenting the items, the Chief Executive Officer of Life Care Technology, Bishoy Hanna, said the company’s decision to support the Ghana Medical Trust Fund was driven by its commitment to improving healthcare delivery and saving lives.
He noted that the company’s values align strongly with the Trust Fund’s vision of expanding access to quality specialist healthcare for all Ghanaians.

Mr. Hanna commended the Ghana Medical Trust Fund for the remarkable work it has undertaken within a short period, particularly its investments in life-saving medical infrastructure and its support for patients battling chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
He expressed confidence that the equipment would contribute significantly to improving patient care and reaffirmed Life Care Technology’s commitment to partnering the Trust Fund to strengthen Ghana’s healthcare system.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Trust Fund, the Administrator, Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku, expressed profound appreciation to Life Care Technology for what she described as a timely intervention that would save countless lives.
She said the donation perfectly aligns with one of the Trust Fund’s four core mandates, which focuses on retooling specialist health facilities across the country with modern medical equipment to improve access to quality healthcare.
“Our work is built on four core pillars, and one of our highest priorities is ensuring that specialist hospitals are equipped with modern, life-saving medical equipment. This generous donation directly supports that mandate, and we are sincerely grateful that Life Care Technology has
chosen to partner with us in this important national effort,” she said.

Ms. Darko-Opoku disclosed that the Trust Fund’s nationwide needs assessment across tertiary and regional hospitals identified endoscopy systems, jaundice meters and anaesthesia equipment among some of the most urgently needed medical devices.
She assured the donors that the equipment would not remain in storage but would be dispatched immediately to health facilities where the need is greatest.
“The equipment you have presented today features prominently among the critical needs identified during our nationwide assessment. We will ensure that these items are quickly deployed to hospitals that urgently require them so patients can begin benefiting without delay,” she stated.

The Administrator further encouraged corporate organisations to take advantage of the 100 percent tax relief available for donations made to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, describing it as an opportunity for businesses to make a lasting impact on healthcare while fulfilling their
corporate social responsibility obligations. She urged more companies to emulate the example set by Life Care Technology by partnering
the Trust Fund to improve healthcare infrastructure and expand access to specialist medical services nationwide.
“Life Care Technology has demonstrated what corporate citizenship truly looks like. We hope many more organisations will follow this shining example by supporting the Ghana Medical Trust Fund. Every contribution helps us save lives and strengthen Ghana’s healthcare system,”
she added.

The donation forms part of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund’s ongoing efforts to mobilise strategic partnerships with the private sector to improve specialist healthcare delivery, modernise medical infrastructure and ensure that more Ghanaians have access to timely, quality and life-
saving treatment.
