John Dramani Mahama, leader and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is emphasizing the party’s commitment to total human development.
He believes in developing human capacity, rather than just equipping a select few, and has challenged the New Patriotic Party government to showcase any notable infrastructure development initiatives in the Tolon Constituency.
Mahama’s vision for the next NDC government includes prioritizing human development, elevating the constituency to a pedestal of growth and development, and solving pressing issues like water challenges.
He also plans to assist farmers through the Farmers Service Centre, providing 15 farming tractors to every district to enhance farming activities for socio-economic development.
Some key policies Mahama introduced to the constituents include:
- 24-Hour Economy Policy: aimed at accelerating economic expansion and creating employment opportunities.
- National Apprenticeship Program: focusing on skills development and job creation
- No Fee Stress Policy: alleviating financial burdens on citizens
- The Big Push: facilitating infrastructure development
- Women’s Development Bank: empowering women through economic opportunities
These policies demonstrate the NDC’s focus on holistic development, encompassing social, economic and infrastructure growth.
By investing in human capacity and addressing pressing needs, Mahama aims to propel the Tolon Constituency and Ghana as a whole toward sustainable progress.
