The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially advised Ghanaian prospective Umrah pilgrims to exercise caution and reconsider current travel schedules due to the rapidly evolving security situation across parts of the Middle East.
In an official statement released today, the Ministry warned that the prevailing regional instability could significantly disrupt travel arrangements. To ensure the safety of citizens, the Government is advising all prospective pilgrims currently in Ghana who have yet to depart to temporarily hold on to their travel plans until the situation stabilizes.
The Ministry emphasized that the safety and well-being of Ghanaian nationals remain the Government’s highest priority.
For those citizens who have already arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah, the Ministry has directed them to remain calm and strictly comply with all security directives issued by local Saudi authorities.
These individuals are also urged to maintain regular communication with their respective travel agents, the Ghana Embassy in Riyadh, and the Consulate General in Jeddah.
Prospective pilgrims and Ghanaian nationals requiring further information or emergency consular assistance are entreated to reach out through the following channels.
