Member of Parliament for Tamale North Alhassan Suhuyini has served notice that the minority would use leaked documents to insist that government accounts for monies spent on the “National Christian Cathedral.”
Leaked documents have so far revealed that the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration has so far spent more than GH¢200million on President Akufo-Addo’s “personal promise to God”.

Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini said the leaked documents which cover expenditure on land preparation, sole sourced procurements and release of public funds have buttressed the concerns they have raised with the commitment of the public purse and resources to the pursuit of a National Cathedral.
He told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive that the minority has been demanding answers from government since 2018 when the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta mentioned that public resources were going to be committed to the project.
The Tamale North MP made reference to the contribution of Dr. Dominic Ayine to the budget statement of 2019 read in 2018 when the former deputy Attorney General demanded further details of the type of arrangement in place to construct the Cathedral and the resources to be spent on it.
He disclosed that the minority intended to give government a tough time until the answers they sought are provided.
