One of the Junior Pastors of the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah Bright Berchie has been arrested by the Ghana Police Sevice.
Bright Berchie was one of the Junior Pastors who were seen on live videos brandishing guns and threatening Evangelist Patricia Oduro known popularly as Nana Agradaa.
He is on record to have said that in Ghana, one could kill so far as he/she is using a licensed gun and nothing will happen to him/her.
Bright Berchie has since been charged with threat of death, offensive conduct and possession of firearms without lawful authority and will be arraigned before court soon.
Meanwhile, Police say the weapon has been retrieved to aid in the investigation process.
Background
Bright Berchie was one of the aides of Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah who stormed the residence of Nana Agradaa and threatened to beat her up and take her life.
He was spotted in a video that went viral on social media brandishing a gun and insisting that he can kill in Ghana and walk free.
However, when a team of Policemen stormed the Church of Owusu Bempah, Berchie is said to have taken to his heels and was on the Police wanted list until he was arrested today.
Meanwhile, Rev Owusu Bempah and four other Junior Pastors were arrested and remanded earlier before their lawyer got them bailed.
They are expected to return to court on October 5, 2021.
