The Office of the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations has directed all religious leaders to formally submit any prophecy or spiritual revelation of national significance to its office for urgent review.
In a statement issued on Sunday, August 10, 2025, Presidential Envoy Elvis Afriyie Ankrah said the directive specifically applies to prophecies concerning high-profile political figures, governance, national security, or matters affecting public stability.
According to the statement, the measure is intended to promote responsibility, discernment, and proper stewardship over the nation’s destiny, particularly during these uncertain times.
The envoy also appealed for fervent prayers for the President, government officials, state institutions, bereaved families, and the country as a whole, following the recent fatal helicopter crash that claimed the lives of senior government ministers, military personnel, and executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Afriyie Ankrah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with faith leaders to safeguard the peace, unity, and prosperity of Ghana.
