2020 Running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on 31st August, 2023, paid a visit to the family of late Madam Araba Tagoe to commiserate with them on the loss of the NDC stalwart.
Araba Tagoe was until her passing a member of the National Executive Committee who was widely respected and popular in the Western region for her political activism.
The 2020 Running mate’s visit was intended to console the family of the late NDC stalwart on their loss and express the condolences of the NDC fraternity and of its leader former President John Dramani Mahama
Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang and her delegation also signed a book of condolence and donated 20 boxes of bottle water to the family.
Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was accompanied by MP for Cape Coast South George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, MP for Cape Coast North Kwamina Minta Nyarku, Deputy Central Regional Women Organizer Madam Janet Quansah, Mr Elvis Korankye- Taylor and Mr Kwesi Walker who are Cape Coast South and North Constituency Chairmen of the NDC respectively, a stalwart of the party Aunty Sarah Kissi, Mrs Emma Ehun-Armah, some Constituency and Branch executives and members of NDC.
Mr Thomas Hughes who was a son of the late Araba Tagoe and one time aspirant of the NDC in Cape Coast South received the delegation with his family head.
The family expressed appreciation to Prof Opoku-Agyemang and her delegation for the visit
