The Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, James Agyenim-Boateng has called on state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and institutions with government interests to insure their businesses with SIC Insurance PLC.
He made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission Ghana, Ms. Emeafa Hardcastle at the Commission’s headquarters in Accra.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng emphasized SIC Insurance’s financial strength, stability, and commitment to prompt claims payment.
He stated that his visit was aimed at fostering a closer working relationship with the Petroleum Commission and seeking its support in positioning SIC Insurance as a key player in the oil and gas sector. He stressed the importance of ensuring that not only the Commission’s assets are insured with SIC but also that the company becomes the preferred insurer for businesses operating in the industry.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to reclaiming major insurance accounts that were deliberately diverted from SIC Insurance PLC in the past. He urged Chief Executive Officers, particularly those in SOEs to support the revitalization of the state insurer to enable it reclaim its position as the country’s leading insurance provider.
He reiterated that SIC Insurance PLC remains a reliable and well-capitalized institution, ready to serve the insurance needs of both the public and private sectors.
