The government has urged the Tripartite committee to work expeditiously to complete the negotiations in time to inform the 2025 Budget.
The National Tripartite Committee, represented by Government, Employers, and Organised Labour Associations, commenced negotiations on the determination of the 2025
Minimum Wage yesterday, Monday, February 03, 2025.
Negotiations for base pay (public sector salaries) will follow that of the minimum wage.
This was contained in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Ag. Spokesperson for the President.
“Given that negations for both the minimum wage and the base pay for the 2025 financial year are behind schedule – as they were expected to be completed by the end of April 2024, per the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act – Government is calling on social partners
(government, employers, organised labour) to work expeditiously to complete the negotiations in time to inform the 2025 Budget” he noted.
