Chief of Paakro Nana Ahingwah II has publicly endorsed the National Democratic Congress’ bid for power in the December elections, citing the party’s impressive track record in community development.
Speaking during a campaign tour by the NDC Vice presidential Candidate, Professor Opoku Agyemang the Chief said he and his elders were fervently praying for the NDC’s victory in the December 2024 elections.
“we are praying for the NDC to win the election,” Nana Ahingwah declared when he hosted Prof Opoku-Agyemang in his community located in the Akuapim South Constituency of the Eastern Region.
The chief cited the NDC’s contributions to the development of his community including the construction of a nursing quarters, a school block, and a health center during the first John Mahama administration.
However, he lamented that his community has Deen little development under the Akuffo-Addo Bawumia government with the incumbent administration further abandoning some projects they inherited eight years ago.
Nana Ahingwah II has therefore appealed to the NDC leadership to complete ongoing projects, including the community’s road, if they win the December 7 election.
“Let’s not abandon projects like the NPP did. We use state funds to start them; it’s only fair to finish what’s been started,” he stated.
The Chief urged the NDC to accord the needs of his people needed priority when elected into office in December.
On her part, Prof. Opoku Agyemang reiterated the NDC’s commitment to complete initiatives started by previous administrations.
She said, unlike the NPP, the NDC was committed to continuing developmental projects and urged the community members to vote massively for the NDC presidential Candidate, John Mahama, and all NDC’s parliamentary candidates.
