The Municipal Chief Executive for Weija-Gbawe, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey, has called on Assembly Members and residents to fully participate in the upcoming National Sanitation Day clean-up exercise.
Speaking ahead of the exercise, Hon. Lamptey emphasized that waste management remains the biggest challenge confronting the Municipality, which is made up of fourteen electoral areas.
He stressed that collective action is the only way to address the growing sanitation crisis.
“Filth is engulfing our communities, and the urgency to participate is paramount. We cannot win this battle unless we all get involved,” he said.
The clean-up exercise, scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, will be the first since the program was re-launched by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
Hon. Lamptey urged residents to embrace the initiative not only as a one-day activity but also as a continuous lifestyle.
