President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) has vindicated the decision to make him act in the position.
According to him, IGP George Akuffo Dampare has since taken over the office breathe new life into the Police administration which is commendable.
The President noted that he has been able to get the country to rally behind him indicating that after all processes are done, he will become the country’s 23rd Inspector General of Police.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo spoke about mutual respect between the Police and the public because to him, that is the best way to win public confidence and also help in the fight against crime in society.

Acknowledging the government’s role in retooling the service, the President charged the current leadership of the Ghana Police Service to ensure that discipline prevails.
