The Young Progressive Network (YPN) has donated learning materials to four Islamic schools within the Weija Electoral Area as part of efforts to support quality education and improve teaching and learning among children in the community.
The beneficiary institutions are Rahmaniya Islamic School at Central Mosque, Fatimiya Al-Islamiyya School at Market Square, Umariya Islamic School at Cat’pillar Road, and Rahmaniya Islamic School at Upper Weija.
The donation forms part of YPN’s community development initiatives aimed at supporting educational institutions and contributing to the welfare and development of children within the Weija community.
Speaking after the donation, the Convener of the Young Progressive Network, Patrick Asford Boadu, said the initiative was driven by the organisation’s commitment to grassroots development and its belief that every child deserves access to the basic materials needed for effective learning.
“Education remains one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our communities. We are therefore committed to supporting schools, teachers and pupils in whatever way we can.
This donation may appear modest, but we believe it will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the beneficiaries,” Mr. Boadu said.
He further called on individuals, corporate organisations and other stakeholders to support initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and creating better opportunities for children.
Mr. Boadu expressed his profound appreciation to the President of YPN, Lawyer Samuel Chaitey Barketey, and the Vice President, Lawyer Edward Yaw Udzu, for their leadership and continued support for the organisation’s community-based initiatives.
“I wish to sincerely thank our President, Lawyer Samuel Chaitey Barketey, and our Vice President, Lawyer Edward Yaw Udzu, for their leadership and commitment to the vision of Young Progressive Network. Their support continues to inspire us to do more for our communities,” he stated.
He also acknowledged the tremendous support received from Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Mork and Mr. Johannes Wordey, describing their contribution as instrumental to the success of the initiative.

The Young Progressive Network reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking more interventions in education, youth empowerment, sanitation, health and other areas of community development across the Weija Electoral Area.
The organisation expressed the hope that the donated materials would contribute to creating a more conducive learning environment for pupils and support teachers in their efforts to provide quality education.
