Three Ghanaian teenagers have done the unthinkable considering their ages as they’ve in what can be best described as a ‘heroic act’ rescued one Akwasi Akowuah, a 42-year-old taxi driver by profession from drowning in the Ashanti region,
In a video obtained by MyNewsGh.com courtesy Kumasi-based Pure FM, the three, Israel Ackah, 13years, Chrisman Antwi, 16 years, and Nana Kwame, 18 years, were seen jumping off a cliff to catch the drowning taxi driver who had already had his taxi almost washed away and was struggling to get a footing in the heavy flood.
But for the timely intervention by the three who has now been nicknamed ‘Pure Heroes’, Mr. Akwasi Akowuah would have been carried away by the flood.
Although Management of Kumasi-based Pure FM has decided to honor the teenagers in their own small way, MyNewsGh.com calls on all and sundry to help put a national recognition on the efforts of these young brave at heart gentlemen.
The incident happened at Ohwim Togo junction in the Ashanti region.
