My family was only smeared with the vile propaganda of owning the defunct micro finance company- John Mahama
“I was unfairly maligned with false claims of owning the defunct microfinance company, DKM, but it’s now clear that the actual owner is a major financier of Dr. Bawumia’s campaign,” John Mahama said.
Mahama emphasized that his family was smeared with vile propaganda and false allegations of owning DKM, but the truth has finally come to light, revealing the true owner’s connection to Bawumia’s campaign.
John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has denied ownership of the defunct microfinance company, DKM, and accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using the issue as propaganda against him in the 2016 elections.
Addressing NDC supporters in the Nkoranza North Constituency, Mahama stated that the NPP falsely alleged that he and his wife, Lordina Mahama, owned DKM. However, recent revelations have exposed the true owner of DKM, who is reportedly a financier of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign.
According to Interior Minister and Nandom MP Ambrose Dery, the DKM owner is his nephew, who was spotted at a health walk event organized by the minister. Mahama emphasized that despite being smeared with unfounded allegations, he has been vindicated, and the truth about DKM’s ownership has finally come to light.
Mahama’s statement aims to clear his name and shift attention to the alleged financing of Bawumia’s campaign by the DKM owner, raising questions about the NPP’s involvement with the defunct microfinance company.
