I followed the United Nations session in New York as President after Presidents come and represent their countries to give their address to the world body. As it came to Ghana’s turn to give her address, I saw Nana Addo come to the podium and I immediately turned off my TV. I didn’t want any President who lacked integrity talking to me. Most of the Presidents agreed with me as the hall was virtually empty.

Last week, I read that the government was meeting with organized labor over galamsey. This told me that the galamsey fight is lost but Nana Addo put his presidency on the line to win the fight against galamsey. As his party had three months to hand over power, he didn’t see the shame of representing Ghana at the United Nations. Today, his government is still fighting galamsey and he had the guts to show his face in New York. Nana Addo lacks basic stuff like integrity.

Is it not this same Nana Addo who said whether Ghanaians like it or not, the National Cathedral would be built and commissioned in March 2024? He has spent over $55 million and yet the foundation has not been built. The Nana Addo/ Bawumiah government will be the most useless government in the history of Ghana. I don’t see any government coming to waste resources more than this government in the long foreseeable future. They have the characteristics of any worse government in the world. Countries without governments even have better economies than Ghana.

The Kumasi Sports Stadium is banned by CAF and by extension FIFA. This government claims to have constructed 150 Astro Turfs across the country and, yet we don’t have one pitch that meets CAF standards. They can’t even get their priorities right. Clearly, Nana Addo/Bawumiah’s government doesn’t have Ghana at heart. All they care about is the next election.

And what is Dr. Bawumiah saying, that he will debate John Mahama anytime, anywhere on the economy? In fact, I would like to debate Dr. Bawumiah anytime, anywhere on the economy.

Does Dr. Bawumiah know the effect of the Galamsey on our economy? Does Dr. Bawumiah know how $55 million would have done to the economy if it had not been uselessly buried in the ground? Does Dr. Bawumiah know what the effect of the ban on Kumasi Stadium has on the economy? The cedi is GHC 17.00 to the dollar. Does Dr. Bawumiah know the effect of that on the economy? The NDC is bringing a 24-hour economic policy. Does Dr. Bawumiah know the effect it would have on the economy? NDC is bringing the Women Development Bank. Does Dr. Bawumiah know the effect it would have on the economy?

I don’t blame him because he still has those Hon. Ken. Agyapong described as fools following him around even though Dr. Bawumiah is not telling Ghanaians anything sensible. It has become even clearer that the Akyem Mafia is using Dr. Bawumiah as a stooge, and come 2028, they will look for another candidate.
