Ghana and Sierra Leone have agreed to revive a joint cooperation agreement initially signed in 2018.
This decision was made during President John Dramani Mahama’s official visit to Sierra Leone, where he met with President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in areas like trade, education, investment, and institutional cooperation.

Addressing concerns related to permits and taxes affecting the Ghanaian community in Sierra Leone.
A proposal was made for the inaugural meeting of the re-established agreement to take place in Ghana, with the exact date yet to be set.
