Ahotor 92.3 FM, a prominent voice in Ghanaian traditional media, marked its 10th anniversary with a lively launch event at the N Joy Hotel. Under the powerful theme “Elevating Voices, Shaping Tomorrow,” the celebration underscored the station’s decade-long dedication to empowering communities and fostering crucial democratic dialogue within Ghana.
General Manager Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, in his address, reflected on Ahotor FM’s beginnings in 2015, emphasizing their foundational belief in the power of individual voices to influence the future. He specifically highlighted the station’s pivotal role during the 2024 elections, where programs like Adi Kyi Mu Nsem, Simpieso, Ye Pe Ahunu, Gbloe Na Ku, Wor He Nii Ni, and Omo Naija served as vital platforms for diverse perspectives, reinforcing the importance of informed discussion in a thriving democracy.

Ocansey openly acknowledged the challenges encountered over the past ten years, including limitations in advertising support due to perceived political affiliations and the recent economic downturn. He commended the station’s unwavering integrity, professionalism, and teamwork as key factors in their perseverance. Gratitude was extended to Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo, all past and present contributors, former General Managers Victor Seneyah, Sidney Tehoda, Michael Ologo, and dedicated former staff members.
Looking ahead, Bosco Ocansey announced ambitious expansion plans, including a strengthened digital presence and the upcoming launch of a television station aimed at engaging younger audiences through various online platforms.
He concluded by inviting active participation in the anniversary celebrations and support for the station’s fundraising efforts, emphasizing a shared commitment to continue amplifying voices and shaping a brighter future for Ghana.
