President John Dramani Mahama has relaunched the National Sanitation Day with a fresh call on Ghanaians to keep their surroundings clean.
At the event on Saturday, he donated a set of sanitation tools to the hardworking BuzStopBoys, a group known nationwide for their volunteer clean-up efforts.
The items included 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of gloves, and several standing brushes to help boost their work.
President Mahama commended the BuzStopBoys for their dedication to community service, describing them as role models in the fight for a cleaner Ghana.
“The National Sanitation Day is not just a day on the calendar—it’s a call for all of us to take ownership of our environment,” he said.
“Clean communities should be our way of life, not something we do once in a while.”
He encouraged Ghanaians everywhere to get involved in clean-up exercises and to make good sanitation practices part of their daily lives.
