The Government of the Republic of Ghana has formally welcomed and endorsed the 20-Point Gaza Peace Plan proposed by President Donald J. Trump, characterizing the initiative as a “groundbreaking” and essential step toward resolving the protracted conflict and alleviating the immense human suffering in the region.
The announcement was made via a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which highlighted the plan’s comprehensive nature and its potential to establish a framework for lasting stability.
The Ministry specifically praised the core objectives of the proposal, noting that the “proposal to end the war, rebuild Gaza, prevent the annexation and displacement of the Palestinian people, and advance a comprehensive peace plan is a welcome development and a relief to the suffering civilians.”
It expressed optimism that the initiative would ultimately provide a viable pathway for achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, which would allow the States of Israel and Palestine to exist side by side in harmony and security.
In a call to action, Government through the Ministry affirmed its commitment to actively participating in the peace process, stating it “stands ready to engage with all international partners to foster dialogue and understanding in revitalizing the Middle East Peace Process.”
Furthermore, the government issued a direct appeal to all involved parties, urging all factions to commit to this historic peace proposal.
