Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings Hospitalised at Ridge Hospital
Former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has reportedly been admitted to the Ridge Hospital in Accra, where she is receiving medical treatment following a prolonged illness.
According to reports, Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings has been unwell for some time and is currently under close medical supervision.
Details regarding her condition remain unclear, as both her family and hospital authorities have yet to issue an official statement on her health status.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, served as Ghana’s First Lady from 1981 to 2001. She is also the founder and leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Her last public appearance was on August 13, 2025, when she was accompanied by her children to lay a wreath at the Ceremonial Garden of Jubilee House in honour of the eight public servants who lost their lives in a helicopter accident.
