In an unprecedented move to honor the foundation of political victory, the Member of Parliament for Krachi Nchumuru, Solomon Kuyon, has rewarded local electoral areas and branch executives for their dedication during the 2024 general elections. Describing his constituency as one of the youngest in Ghana, the MP emphasized that his political journey, from serving as the first District Chief Executive to his current tenure in Parliament has been built entirely on the tireless efforts of grassroots organizers.
During a victory appreciation event held during the festive season, Kuyon fulfilled a pre-election promise to incentivize performance by awarding GH₵20,000 to the best-performing electoral area. The second and third-place winners received GH₵15,000 and GH₵10,000, respectively. He remarked that these executives are the individuals doing the heavy lifting on the ground and argued that any MP who fails to recognize their branch executives has a long way to go.

This initiative, which he noted is a first for the region, aims to foster healthy competition while ensuring that those who deliver results for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) feel valued. Beyond financial rewards, the MP revealed plans to commission a project in the highest-performing branch to benefit both party executives and the general electorate.
Looking ahead to his development agenda for 2026, Kuyon identified three critical priorities for the district. His primary focus is the improvement of the road network, noting that the Minister for Roads has personally witnessed the difficult terrain and committed to providing assistance.
Secondly, the MP is in active discussions with the Energy Ministry to ensure that Krachi Nchumuru is fully integrated into the National Rural Electrification Project this year. Finally, he expressed a firm commitment to the completion of the District Hospital under the Agenda 111 initiative, vowing to push for a facility that provides dignified and effective healthcare for his people.
The appreciation event also served as a platform for community unity, drawing attendees from both the NDC and the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
As the event concluded, Solomon Kuyon promised that this reward scheme is not a one-time gesture but the beginning of a sustainable legacy. With support from regional leadership, he intends to expand and improve the initiative in future election cycles, ensuring that the bond between the party leadership and the grassroots remains unbreakable.
