Adamus Resources Limited has pushed back against reports suggesting that its mining leases for the Akango, Salman, and Nkroful concessions have been revoked, describing the claims as inaccurate and lacking due process.
In a statement issued by management, the company said it had taken note of the “purported revocation” and moved to clarify its position, insisting that the allegations underpinning the decision do not reflect the true state of its operations.
According to the company, it remains a fully licensed mining entity operating under valid permits granted within Ghana’s regulatory framework. These, it noted, include approvals from the Minerals Commission and the Environmental Protection Agency in line with the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006 (Act 703).
Adamus Resources also raised concerns about what it described as a significant breach of due process. The company stated that it had not been formally notified of any specific allegations and had not been given the opportunity to respond, as required under Ghanaian mining laws.
“This undermines established principles of fairness and administrative justice,” the statement said, particularly in relation to mineral rights tied to substantial long-term investments.
The company further denied any involvement in illegal mining activities or unlawful subcontracting, allegations it said have been cited in connection with the reported revocation.
Reaffirming its commitment to responsible mining and environmental stewardship, Adamus Resources indicated that it is engaging relevant authorities to resolve the matter. It expressed confidence that a thorough and impartial review would confirm its compliance with applicable laws.
Management added that while it remains open to constructive dialogue with stakeholders, the company will also take all necessary steps to protect its legal rights.
The development comes amid heightened scrutiny of mining activities in Ghana, where regulators have in recent years intensified efforts to enforce compliance and curb illegal operations in the sector.
