Mr Franklin Cudjoe, the President of IMANI Africa has commented that President Akufo-Addo should end his ongoing tour in the country and call a national dialogue on Ghana’s economic crisis.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, 23rd October 2022, he wrote;
“As the President’s and government’s approval ratings are so low, ( 11% in one poll ), I suggest he ends his tour of the country and call a true national dialogue to help calm the grown anger over the drowning economy.”
Franklin Cudjoe further advised that Akufo-Addo needs to be seen with credible elders and leaders in various fields to help him speak softly and give hope, because frankly his men and women no longer command the regard of a vast majority of Ghanaians.
Reactions
“The difference between John Mahama and the other one is that ,even when the economy has not dropped to it lowest level as we see today , JM called a national forum to discuss possible solutions to revive the economy.
This man thinks calling for a national dialogue will give advantage to his opponents. The kind of crisis the Ghanaian people are facing right now is just as a result of arrogance of one man . He chooses ego over patriotism.” A user commented.
“He should face it alone with his family and friends. They are the only wise people on this planet. The least I forget, SALL people are waiting for your effort to get MP for them.” A user commented.
“Is he, himself credible? How can anyone trust a president who amidst the free fall of his nation’s currency, and the nation itself, continues to carry his office chair out of the office around in fueled petrol drinking type of drive? ” Another user added.
