Fast rising Ghanaian football talent scout, Wunnam Haruna is taking scouting a notch higher with a high profile nationwide project.
Haruna’s agency Kick Nation is partnering Brooke House College, UK to identify budding talents across Ghana with the train stopping in Tamale for the first session.

The young yet intelligent talent spotter discussed the qualities needed to be identified with the selected few.
“When it comes to age we are looking for 16 and 17 and players that just turned 18.
“What we are looking for is a player that embodies the Ghanaian cliche of a good player, tall, strong with a technical ability and most importantly in our case character.
“Because most players can be talented but the attitude and character gives them contract and keeps them in the professional space for long.”
Some young players have often been unlucky with agents who tied them to unfavorable contracts with some fleecing them of transfer fees.
Other players are sometimes trafficked to unsavory destinations and they end up doing menial jobs to survive.
Haruna has however assured all and sundry of quality administrative formalities that is geared towards a fruitful football journey for all young players.

“The credibility of Kick Nations is like epitome of what Steadfast FC embodies.
“When you look at Steadfast FC, they’ve been able to nurture players like Fatawu Issahaku to big teams like Leicester City and Fatawu now has two World Cup appearances and so the credibility is there.
“The way Kick Nation works especially with Karela is like a family football pathway so players that will move from Kick Nation to Europe who sone necessarily make it, they can still play in Steadfast and Karela.
Haruna emphasized that, the future of Ghana football looks bright and promised that a number of Ghanaian players will soon sign on to juicy and favorable contracts with Kick Nation Scouting Agency.
“I think the future of Ghana football is very bright and recently I saw Fabrizio Romano break a news that a young Ghanian talent move directly to Sevilla.
“The future of Ghana football looks bright and not to back Kick Nations is of anything but I think very soon, most of the top players are going to be Kick Nation players because of how we do our work.”
Wunnam Haruna’s credibility cannot be underestimated having already transferred players outside the shores of Ghana.
He is the son of Ghana’s Education Minister, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu who doubles as the bankroller of Ghana top tier side Karela United and Steadfast FC, the club that nurtured Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
Wunnam is expected to identify top talents by the end of the scouting project who will have to opportunity to represent Ghana at a youth tournament in November.
The young players will have the luxury of over 30 scouts from Europe and other countries at their disposal during the camp.
