Rush Energy Drink has officially unveiled Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as its new brand ambassador, with the Ghana international receiving a warm welcome on arrival at the Accra International Airport on Monday.
Company executives say the partnership is part of a broader strategy to deepen the brand’s appeal among young consumers while positioning it for expansion beyond Ghana’s borders.
Speaking to the media ahead of the player’s arrival, Rush Energy’s Business Development Manager, Pricilla Awumey, underscored the commercial value of the deal, noting that Fatawu’s personality and on-field dynamism align with the aspirations of the youth market.
“Fatawu’s image will help grow our business because he brings the kind of energy young people are looking up to,” she said.
At a brief ceremony following his arrival, Event Manager Kendrick Yehowada described the collaboration as a long-term commitment aimed at strengthening the brand’s market presence.
“We are happy with this engagement and commitment. This is going to be a long-term relationship… an unending one,” he stated.
Fatawu, who plays for Leicester City F.C. and features for Ghana’s senior national team, the Ghana national football team, expressed excitement about the partnership, describing it as a natural extension of his personal journey.
“I’ve known this brand since I was young… I’m happy to work with them and help take it to the world,” he said.
The winger added that his role would go beyond endorsements, pledging to actively promote the brand’s message of energy and performance.
“I bring energy and joy, and I want to use that to improve the brand and push it higher,” he noted.
Rush Energy Drink, produced by William Industrial Company Limited, believes the collaboration with the Black Stars forward will not only consolidate its presence in Ghana’s competitive beverage market but also elevate its international visibility through Fatawu’s growing global profile.
The partnership marks a significant step for both the player and the brand, as they seek to connect with a new generation driven by ambition, performance, and global outlook.
