The Vice Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC),Professor Opoku-Agyemang has kicked off a week-long campaign tour of Ahafo, Bono and Bono East Regions beginning today.
As has become ususal of prof. Opoku Agyemang camapign tour, As she arrives at campaign grounds, women enthusiastically greet her with the Akan phrase “Maame oo den-deh-ee,” meaning “Mother, you are welcome”.
The phrase “Maame oo den-deh-ee” has become a symbol of solidarity and support, reflecting the trust and confidence women have in Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s leadership and her boss, John Mahama.
In the context of Ghanaian culture, the phrase is more than just a greeting, it is a heartfelt expression of respect, admiration, and well-wishes.
During her tour, Prof. Opoku Agyemang will interact with members and supporters of NDC as well as opinion leaders and the general public in various constituencies in the three regions.
Prof. Opoku Agyemang is expected to end her week-long Mahama for President 2024 campaign on Friday.
