The Ghana Police Service has refused to disclose to Kwabena Bobie Ansah and his lawyers, the name of the complainant in the matter which has led to his arrest.
The lawyers Victor Kodzoga Adawudu and Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe had asked for the identity of the complainant after their client was charged with the NPP government’s favourite ‘Publication of false news and Conduct conducive to the breach of the peace by the Greater Accra Regional Police.
The police told the lawyers that they would present a witness during his trial but would not disclose the complainant.
Kwabena Bobie Ansah was then hurried to court where Radiogoldlive.com understands the state would seek his remand into prison custody despite both charges being misdemeanors.

Colleagues and close pals of the broadcaster however suspect Ghana’s first lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo was the complainant and the architect that the arresting ‘officers’ describe as ‘above’.
A consistent panelist on the Citizen Show on Accra FM which the popular journalist hosts, Charles McCarthy posted on his Facebook page a letter written Class Media Group by the Cantonments Police Division seeking videos to assist in their investigation of a case of “alleged fraudulent acquisition of Government lands at AU Village by H/E Rebecca Akufp-Addo which was discussed on the Citizen Show hosted by Kwabena Bobie Ansah of Accra.”
“The command will be grateful if you could furnish us with videos of the above mentioned radio programme discussed from 10th January 2022 to 17th January 2022 to aid our investigations,” Cantonments police further requested.
Eye witnesses at the station when the broadcaster was arrested said the men who bundled him into a car and dumped him at the Nima Police station were not in police uniform and arrived at the station with four vehicles.
When these men were asked why they were picking him up, they responded with ‘order from above.’
It is unclear what necessitated the arrest as Kwabena Bobie Ansah was not the subject of the alleged investigations.
