Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has inaugurated two committees to expedite the issuance of passports and improve the welfare of Ghanaians living abroad.
The committees will oversee the rollout of a 24-hour passport application process, aiming to make it more efficient and convenient for citizens.
To apply for a passport, Ghanaian citizens will need to provide required documents, including a birth certificate, proof of identity, and proof of profession.
The application process can be completed online, and applicants can choose from various options, such as expedited or standard applications, with varying processing fees.
The move to establish these committees demonstrates the government’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of its citizens, both at home and abroad.
By streamlining the passport application process and improving support for Ghanaians living abroad, the government aims to promote economic growth, development, and global connectivity.
