A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has advised the party leadership to ensure that the grassroots have confidence in the elections taking place at the polling station level.
To him, elections are lost and won at the polling station and therefore the party stands to lose if the elections at that level do not give confidence to the grassroots of the political party.
Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko made this known in a tweet as the party begins its polling station elections.
He acknowledges that while dealing with human beings, some people will not be happy but the leadership of the party should ensure that they are fair in their dealings so it doesn’t come back to haunt them in the future.
“We win or lose elections at the polling station where ballots are cast. That is why for a party, the process of choosing your polling station executives must have the confidence of your grassroots. Not everyone will be happy, but conduct yourselves in a fair fairway.”
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Alan Kyeremanteng has paid for the nomination forms for all persons interested in contesting for the polling station elections in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
