The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have moved to strengthen cooperation in the fight against cybercrime, with a renewed focus on disrupting criminal networks operating across national borders.
The Director-General of the CSA, Dr Divine Selase Agbeti, hosted a delegation from the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI, led by John R. Dozier Jr., Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Criminal Division, for discussions on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.

The engagement focused on ways the CSA and FBI could enhance cooperation and provide mutual support towards identifying and dismantling cybercriminal networks.
The discussions come amid the increasingly transnational nature of cybercrime, which requires closer cooperation among national law-enforcement and cybersecurity institutions to investigate networks whose activities extend beyond individual jurisdictions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mr Dozier presented Dr Agbeti with a letter from FBI Director Kashyap P. Patel, expressing appreciation to the CSA Director-General and his team for their commitment to combating cybercrime and promoting international cooperation.
The engagement reinforces cooperation between Ghanaian and U.S. authorities as the two sides seek to strengthen their response to cross-border cybercrime and organised cybercriminal networks.
