Beginning 15 November 2022, all certificates and permits issued by the FDA would bear a hologram.
The hologram which would have security features is to be embossed on certificates and permits issued for products regulated by the Food and Drugs Authority.
This was announced by the FDA in a statement issued by its Chief Executive Officer Mrs Delese AA Darko.
Mrs Darko said “these security interventions on the certificates and permits issued by the FDA is intended to improve authenticity and provide the needed assurances.”
“Clients and stakeholders including the manufacturers, importers, exporters and market authorization holders of FDA-regulated products are therefore to be guided appropriately,” the FDA cautioned.
