The Assembly Member for the New Weija East Electoral Area, Hon. Sadiatu Issah, has donated a package of learning materials to Josak Academy as the school marked its 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday 27th September 2025.
Speaking at the colourful event, Hon. Issah commended the school for its remarkable journey of “20 years of academic excellence and embracing the future,” the theme chosen for the anniversary. She praised management and staff for their dedication to nurturing children into disciplined, responsible, and well-educated citizens.
“As a community, we must all play our part in supporting education. That is why I decided to donate these learning materials — to encourage both teachers and students to continue striving for excellence,” she said.
The Assembly Member also stressed the importance of instilling discipline and responsibility in children at an early age.
“Education is not only about books. It is also about shaping character. Let us teach our children to dispose of waste properly, respect their teachers, and grow into future leaders who will be an asset to society,” she added.
Hon. Issah further urged the pupils to take their studies seriously and obey instructions from their teachers and parents, reminding them that “hard work, respect, and obedience will bring success.”
The Head of Josak Academy, Madam Hilda Ayim in receiving the items, expressed gratitude to Hon. Issah for her continuous support to education in the New Weija East community.
“This gesture comes at a very important time as we celebrate two decades of commitment to learning. It shows that we are not alone in our mission to train the future leaders of Ghana,” he said.
The anniversary event brought together parents, alumni, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders, who all joined the school in celebrating its achievements and looking forward to the next 20 years of growth and impact.
