The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, has called for unity and collaboration among staff to drive the growth and development of the tourism sector.
Addressing staff of the Agency during her maiden meeting with workers at the GTA head office, Maame Efua Houadjeto explained the importance of teamwork and unity in achieving the Authority’s goals.
“I’m counting on you,” she told the staff, stressing that every individual has a role to play in promoting Ghana’s tourism potential.
Maame Efua, a communications specialist acknowledged the challenges facing the tourism sector but expressed optimism about the prospects for growth and development.
She pledged to work closely with staff to identify and address the challenges, leveraging their expertise and experience to drive innovation and progress.
The New CEO encouraged staff to share their ideas and suggestions on how to improve the GTA’s services and operations.
Staff who attended the meeting expressed enthusiasm and optimism about Maame Efua Houadjeto leadership style and vision for the GTA.
They pledged their support and commitment to working together to achieve the Authority’s goals.
The GTA is responsible for promoting and developing Ghana’s tourism sector, which is a significant contributor to the country’s economy.
