The Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast South Constituency, Mr. George Kwaku Ricketts Hagan has declared his intention to contest the seat again in 2024 if God allows him
“I believe that am an MP because God wants me to be an MP for the people of Cape Coast South so when my job is not done, nobody, not even my own party or opposition party can boot me out or unseat me, it will never happen” he disclosed.
According to the lawmaker, “I am waiting for those who are coming or trying to be an MP because if God has not done with me, I will still be an MP”. He stressed.
Mr. Kwaku Ricketts Hagan made the disclosure to the media shortly after he organized an end-of-year party for over 1,000 kids at Cape Coast Jubilee Park and advised them to be good children and Citizens.
He stated that the development of children within his constituency is an important part of his job as an MP to make them prominent persons.
Mr. Ricketts Hagan expressed sadness about the spate of teenage pregnancy in the area and promised to use his position as MP to address the issue as soon as possible
The lawmaker observed that the welfare of a child requires the contribution of all stakeholders including parents and teachers and advised parents to show interest in the education of their wards by attending the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) to know what is happening to them.
