The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended BOSTenergies Limited Company for its strong financial performance in 2025, describing the company’s results as evidence that Ghana’s State-Owned Enterprises can create significant value for the Ghanaian people.
Dr. Jinapor made the remarks when he joined the Board, Management and staff of BOSTenergies Limited at the company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting.
He noted that the company recorded significant growth in 2025, with revenue increasing by 195% to GH¢3.81 billion, while profit after tax rose by 72% to GH¢684 million.
The Minister also welcomed the company’s decision to pay a 5% dividend to the Government of Ghana, describing it as a significant milestone and the first dividend of its kind in the company’s history.
According to Dr. Jinapor, the dividend demonstrates the potential of Ghana’s State-Owned Enterprises to operate efficiently, generate value and contribute directly to national development.
He urged BOSTenergies to build on the strong foundation by strengthening the country’s strategic petroleum stocks, modernising critical infrastructure, improving operational efficiency and expanding its commercial reach.
Dr. Jinapor further emphasised the strategic role of BOSTenergies in Ghana’s energy security, particularly as the country advances its economic transformation agenda and implements the 24-Hour Economy.
He charged the company to remain at the centre of efforts to safeguard Ghana’s energy security while contributing meaningfully to sustainable economic growth and national development.
The Minister reiterated Government’s commitment to supporting reforms that will enhance the performance, efficiency and financial sustainability of State-Owned Enterprises within the energy sector.
