John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has taken his campaign tour to the Ashanti region, considered a stronghold of the ruling party NPP.
This move is part of his regional campaign tour, which has already covered 15 regions.
Mahama’s tour in the Ashanti region will last for five days, during which he will engage with various communities, chiefs, and NDC supporters.
Mahama’s campaign focuses on his “24-hour economy policy,” which aims to transform Ghana’s economy.
He has criticized the ruling party for neglecting the Ejura Sekyerdumase Constituency in terms of infrastructure development, including roads, sanitation, security, youth unemployment, education, and healthcare facilities.
During his tour, Mahama will pay a courtesy call on the King of the Ashanti kingdom, Nana Osei Tutu II, and hold community engagements and mini rallies in various constituencies.
He urges electorates to consider voting for the NDC and its parliamentary candidates in the upcoming election on December 7.
