John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress has asked for the share of one district, one Factory share of the people of Akumadan in the Offinso North Constituency in the Ashanti region
One of the flagship programs of the New Patriotic Party going into the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections was the One District, One Factory (1D1F) policy
However, the people of Akumadan, a tomato community in the Offinso North in the Ashanti region have been denied such a factory to process its produce
“Akumadan community is predominantly a tomatoes growing area and as a government enjoys a lot of votes for this constituency must not be denied a tomatoes Factory here,” he said
The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama made this statement during a community engagement with chiefs and people of Akumadan in the Offinso North during his second day Ashanti region campaign tour
He promised the community of a tomatoes processing factory in Akumadan under the National Democratic Congress Agro processing Zone and Farmers Service Centre program
Additionally, John Dramani Mahama indicated that such factories will operate under the 24 hour economy policy to enable the Youth to earn meaningful and sustainable employment
He again urged the constituents to reject the New Patriotic Party and vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary Candidate in the 7th December Presidential and Parliamentary elections
