John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a big promise. He said that if he wins the election on December 7, he will get rid of some government projects that he thinks are a waste of money. One of these projects is called ‘One Village, One Dam.’
Mahama believes that the money spent on these projects could be put to better use. He wants to invest in things that will help Ghana’s economy grow and make more money for the country.
Right now, Ghana is facing some money problems. Mahama thinks that the government needs to be smart about how it spends money and make tough choices. He doesn’t think the current leaders are doing a good job of this.
According to Mahama, the government is only trying to get more money without cutting back on spending. He says this is not the right way to solve the problem.
Mahama promises that if he becomes president, he will get rid of all the wasteful projects and programs. He wants to use the money from these projects to invest in areas that will be more helpful for the country.
He specifically mentioned the ‘One Village, One Dam’ project, saying that the government spent billions on it. Mahama thinks this money could be better used in other ways to help the economy grow again.
He also talked about a program called ‘Planting for Food and Jobs’ as an example of something that could be a better use of the money.
It’s clear that Mahama has some strong ideas about how to fix Ghana’s economic troubles. He believes that getting rid of wasteful spending and investing in the right places is the way to go. The question is, will the people of Ghana agree with him when they vote in December?
