The leadership of the Free Media Vanguards in compliance with the Public Order Act has today successfully concluded arrangements with the hierarchy of the Ghana Police service on their intended “March for Free Expression” slated for Tuesday 21st May 2019.
Protesters will converge at the El Wak Sports Stadium by 7am in Accra and march through 37, and then continue to the headquarters of the National Communications Authority at Airport City.
The group is therefore inviting the general public and all who believe in safeguarding the fundamental human right of free expression to join the march as it demands for a free and safer environment for the media and journalists.
It is urging all to come along with plasters over their mouths in a symbolic demonstration of the recent dangerous crackdown and repression of free speech.
