Fresh documents have revealed that monies paid from the coffers of the state to Adjaye Associates are separate from the Seed Money for the construction of the Cathedral.
This comes after Adjaye Associates disclosed that he was paid in excess of $20million for the work he was doing on the National Cathedral.
The payments have raised eyebrows with industry players saying they are improper and contrary to industry practice.
The new document which seems to be excerpts from a publication from the stables of the National Cathedral confirm that the contract to David Adjaye was single sourced and signed in August 2019 with the Office of the President.
The document stated “these payments represent the fulfillment of the State’s commitment in the Appointment of the Architect and Design Team”.
The document one of four posted on the Facebook page of Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who has been at the forefront of discussions on statement monies expended on the National Cathedral.
